Puma Velocity Nitro 5 Men's Running Shoes

Embark on your running journey with the Velocity Nitro 5, Puma's hero franchise featuring NITROFOAM cushioning. Sleek styling, outstanding comfort, and a responsive ride make it the ideal do-it-all trainer. From short distances to long runs, this neutral shoe offers a smooth ride and optimal cushioning for all runners.

Premium Engineered Mesh Upper

The upper of the Velocity Nitro 5 has been designed using a premium engineered mesh that allows for a more breathable and adaptive fit. The mesh allows cool, refreshing air to flow while simultaneously removing unwanted warm air, helping to regulate temperature and create a perfect microclimate where feet can thrive. The padded heel collar and tongue sit close to the foot and ankle to prevent irritation caused by rubbing and increase comfort. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system that locks the midfoot for a secure fit and prevents in-shoe slippage.

NITROFOAM Midsole

The Velocity Nitro 5 utilises a NITROFOAM midsole to deliver lightweight cushioning and maximum energy return. This innovative foam technology is a lightweight, springy foam constructed from nitrogen-infused advanced TPU, providing high energy return and responsiveness. By infusing nitrogen into the foam, Puma has expanded its midsoles, resulting in exceptional underfoot comfort and maximum propulsion with each stride. This enables you to run further and faster with ease. The foam not only aids in propelling you forward and helping you achieve personal bests, but it also absorbs shock and mitigates negative impact forces when you strike hard, unforgiving surfaces, reducing stress on your joints and lowering the risk of injury.

PUMAGRIP Outsole

Puma have used their PUMAGRIP rubber compound in the outsole of the Velocity Nitro for enhanced traction as well as durability. The rubber is positioned for maximum effect and provides good connection over a wide variety of surfaces and conditions, wet or dry, so you can run with confidence no matter the weather. It also gives a good base for explosive push-off, contributing to a more efficient gait cycle.
