Double down on race day with the FAST-R Nitro Elite. Designed to set records, this marathon-worthy racing shoe has a breathable mono-mesh upper with targeted PWRTAPE reinforcement for durability and support. A cutting-edge, two-part midsole features a lightweight NITRO Elite foam for supreme responsiveness.
Constructed using a mono-mesh upper, the Fast-R Nitro Elite offers exceptional breathability at a low weight. The perforations within the fabric allow cool air to flow while hot, muggy air escapes, providing a cooling sensation as you move and a drier, healthier environment for your feet to thrive. Not only is the upper highly durable, but it leaves you with shoes built to last. Reinforced with PWRTAPE, the upper has been designed to provide structure and support while also protecting high-wear areas. A fin provides heel structure and a dynamic visual for race day. Finally, the traditional lacing system offers a secure, locked-in feel as you move, and an incorporated tongue gives a sock-like feel.
The midsole of the Fast-R Nitro Elite has been created using Puma's most elite foam. This is a nitrogen-infused foam, lightweight and springy and provides you with high energy return and responsiveness. By infusing nitrogen into the foam, Puma has been able to expand their midsoles. By doing so, the shoes are extremely comfortable underfoot whilst also providing maximum propulsion with each step, letting you run further and faster with ease. Not only will the foam help propel you forward so you hit those PBs, but it also absorbs shocks and negative impact forces as you strike hard, unforgiving surfaces. By doing so, this reduces stress on the joints and the risk of injury. Working alongside this is an extended PWRPLATE, made from carbon fibre, that enhances energy return and propels you forward, keeping you focused on your target. The combination of the two helps improve running economy, translating to unprecedented potential marathon times.
Made using PUMAGRIP materials, the outsole of the Fast-R Nitro Elite has a maximum level of grip on various surfaces, allowing you to step out to conquer your race in full confidence of achieving speed. This outsole construction combines hardness for durability and softness for grip, thanks to a construction optimised specifically for wet grounds.
