With its ultralight construction, protective features and peerless packability, the Rab Phantom Pull-On Jacket is the ultimate stash-and-forget waterproof shell for stripped-back mountain runners.
Being an extremely lightweight waterproof pull-on makes for an essential running piece to add to your wardrobe. If you're a mountain runner who worries about space, then consider this vibrant Phantom Pull-On Jacket from Rab. The Phantom Pull-On uses 7D Pertex Shield 2.5L fabric with DWR and added stretch, which then provides top-quality materials, that will ensure you stay dry from the rain and protected from the wind. Absolutely essential when you're climbing through wind and unpredictable weather climates. It is the Pertex Shield that gives it the lightweight feel, resulting in a tiny pack size of 8cmx10cm and weight of 70g. So when it comes to storing this jacket, you needn't worry so much about where it will go, and even more so, because of its integrated stuff sack, for when you're putting it away. The design of this jacket is made to provide comfort, and keep you snug at the same time, which is why the volume hood with micro-elasticated front section has been removed of any unnecessary excess materials. So the hood stays close to your head, however, it still has that space you might need for a woolly hat or beanie during the colder climates. The YKK chest zip extends down to the sternum to provide good ventilation. Keeping the material to a minimum, Rab have used part elasticated hem and cuffs, keeping the jacket in place, but also meaning they could leave out any excess toggles or draw cords, and ensuring a more comfortable and safe run. Providing visibility to the jacket using reflective branding, ensures safety during poorer weather conditions and low light. All of these elements provide a comfortable, yet tight fit, as to allow fast movement through mountains.
