Gore-Tex Extended Comfort Upper

The upper of the Quest Prime from Salomon provides exceptional weather protection. The GORE-TEX extended comfort is guaranteed to keep you dry and offers an extended range of comfort. Engineered to be used during high output activities, Salomon uses GORE-TEX Extended Comfort in their racing and mountaineering footwear where superior waterproof protection and enhanced breathability are essential.

more waterproof protection comes from added split suede leather that encases the upper for superb durability and extra protection. A water-resistant textile finishes off the weather protection and prevents the boots from taking on added weight that is not needed. Additionally, the upper of the Quest is fitted with Salomon's unique sensifit system that cradles the foot from the midsole to the lacing system, providing a secure, snug and virtually customised fit all around the foot. Once the laces are pulled, the sensifit ensures the upper wraps around the foot providing an ultimate fit and feel.

Protection from the rough terrain is imperative therefore it doesn't go amiss from Salomon in the Quest Prime Walking Boots. A protective heel and toe cap are the right solutions for sufficient protection in mountain and trail environments, protecting your feet from hard rocks as well as other mountaineering hazards. Heel foam is added to the upper to provide plush cushioning next to the foot, enhancing comfort for the heel and surrounding areas for the best possible experience. A heel strap works to lock the heel in place, preventing any in shoe slipping from occurring which again enhances comfort when out walking on unpredictable terrain.

Lastly, an ortholite sockliner combines a specific Ortholite foam and an EVA heel cup. Ortholite foam creates a cooler, drier, healthier and better-cushioned environment under the foot. It will not break down or lose effectiveness over time and is constructed from recycled tire content to protect the environment. The heel cup allows for a better heel support and added cushioning.

Injected EVA Midsole

The midsole is constructed from injected EVA which provides excellent shock absorbing properties to help protect the foot from shock and impact force. Salomon has added their lightweight advanced chassis which is placed between the midsole and the outsole to maximise motion control, energy management and push through protection for an efficient, stable and responsive ride. A moulded shank is also slotted into the midsole to protect the foot from sharp objects underneath the foot. This technology allows you to freely wander the mountain terrain without a worry that you may get an injury from the hazards the environment has to offer.

High Traction Contagrip Outsole

The outsole sports a high traction Contagrip Outsole that enhances grip and traction on a variety of surfaces.
