Single Layer Mesh Upper

Constructed using a quick-drying single layer mesh the Salomon S-Lab XA Amphib 2 ensures ample breathability and top abrasion resistance. The mesh allows air to fully permeate throughout the shoe, providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air whilst simultaneously pushing out hot, muggy air. It also stays light in the water and dries fast on the ground adding to its amphibious nature. Skinguard TPU is injected into the mesh for added durability, it ensures peace of mind when running on tough trails and harsh terrain. Injected into key areas, the TPU ensures protection and promotes a secure, locked down fit which is compounded by the slim fitting shoe. A Sensifit system cradles the foot providing a precise and secure fit whilst the endofit system is designed to hug the foot in exactly the right places to improve feedback and foot wrapping. Completing the upper is a Quick Lacing System which provides a minimalistic and strong lace for a one-pull tightening ensuring you get the shoes on and off with minimal effort. A lace pocket is useful as it allows the laces to be stowed away making sure the laces do not get caught or snagged on any sticks or bushes out on the trail, reducing distractions.

Contagrip Outsole

Premium wet traction Contagrip rubber completes the S/Lab XA Amphib 2 offering maximum protection against wear and tears whilst ensuring high traction across varied terrains. It grips even the wettest rock when you're exiting the swim ensuring maximum grip. Built for maximum grip on loose, soft, or rugged uneven surfaces, Contagrip TA uses deep, sharp lugs made from a compound that balances durability and adhesion. The aggressive gripping lugs face different directions to heighten grip over uneven and unpredictable terrains, therefore making it easy for runners to tackle ascents and descents. Lastly, for rock protection when out on loose terrains, the S/Lab XA Amphib 2 is equipped with Profeel Film in the forefoot to protect from rocks and other sharp objects.
