GORE-TEX Upper
Welded mesh uppers will encase each foot in breathable comfort. Perforations in the fabric increase airflow to create a better, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the shoe; it supplies a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside, keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. A Sensifit system cradles the foot providing a precise and secure fit whilst a Quick Lacing System provides a minimalistic and strong lace for a one-pull tightening ensuring you get the shoes on and off with minimal effort. A lace pocket is useful as it allows the laces to be stowed away making sure the laces do not get caught or snagged on any sticks or bushes out on the trail, reducing distractions. Completing the upper is a reinforced toe cap which protects the toes from loose debris.
EnergyCell+ Midsole
EnergyCell+ is a high-rebound while also delivering substantial cushioning and durability. This midsole compound works with a Dual Density EVA which provides superior cushioning, stability and motion control. These two technologies combined with the advanced chassis that is placed between the outsole and midsole, maximises motion control, energy management and push through protection offer an efficient, stable and responsive ride. Completing the midsole is profeel film which protects the soles of your feet on rough, rocky terrain.

The XA Elevate utilises Salomon's latest Premium Wet Traction Contragrip rubber compound. The lugs are highly separated to help facilitate responsiveness, grip, and allows for a more efficient mud and snow release.
