GORE-TEX Upper

GORE-TEX Upper 3D mesh uppers will encase each foot in breathable comfort. Perforations in the fabric increase airflow to create a better, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the shoe; it supplies a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside, keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. The stitch-free upper construction provides a smooth, glove-like fit and feel which sits comfortably against the skin and reduces the risk of chafing and irritability. Protection is key while out on the trails, so don't worry when wearing the Torridon as there is a protective heel cap for rearfoot stability and a protective rubber toe cap to enhance protection from loose or sharp rocks. Finishing off the upper is the mudguard which is a protective material all around the base of the shoe to help reduce the build-up of mud.

EVA Midsole

The midsole is constructed from EVA which provides excellent shock-absorbing properties to help protect the foot from shock and impact force. This multi-functional midsole will provide both comfort and protection, as it has dual-density EVA. Towards the bottom, the EVA is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. Energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. The higher you get in the midsole, the EVA becomes less densely packed, which will make every step feel comfortable.Completing the midsole is an ortholite sockliner which cushions the foot so you can go futher for longer in complete comfort.

Contagrip Outsole

Tackle any trails in supreme confidence that you won't be let down by your shoe's grip. Using Contagrip, the outsole is able to form a solid grip between shoe and terrain. The rubber is also extremely durable and abrasion-resistant, which means long-term control is guaranteed. When you are running on the wet and muddy ground, the shoe's deep lugs dig into the ground, which will anchor you in place. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking and changing direction.
