Engineered Mesh Upper

The unique mesh upper on the Sonic 3 has been engineered with a varying weave to offer more support throughout a run. Without sacrificing breathability, perforations throughout the upper of the Sonic allow cool air to run throughout ensuring that your feet remain well ventilated at all times. Additionally, the upper aims to suit the way you run, whenever you need flexibility or durability the Sonic aims to deliver these through the specific parts of the shoe. A key feature from Salomon is Sensifit, this technology has been developed to cradle the foot from the midsole to the lacing system providing you with a secure, snug and customised fit making the Sonic a highly adaptable shoe. An Ortholite Impressions tongue makes an extremely comfortable and lasting impression, the foam within the tongue compresses to take the shape of the foot over time to create a customised and comfortable fit. Adding further to the comfort is the featherlight collar which is soft, comfortable and minimalist without sacrificing the fit ensuring that these shoes are perfect for you. An Ortholite insole technology provides superior cushioning whilst also enhancing breathability and durability allowing you to perform at your optimum level.

Optivibe Midsole

Salomon have used their unique Optivibe technology in the midsole to ensure an ultra-smooth ride and long-lasting comfort. The extra cushioning provides a more comfortable ride, especially when striking down on hard, unforgiving surfaces but, it also works to provide vibration-reduction and decoupling which are ideal when running off the beaten path. The Optivibe midsole has been constructed using a combination of foams which work to dampen shocks and propel you forward as you run. This works to reduce vibration upon footstrike and reduce muscle fatigue without affecting the overall ride. So you can go further for longer in complete comfort. The midsole also features a moulded orthoLite which provides additional comfort whilst also ensuring effective moisture management and increased breathability to keep your shoes fresher for longer.

Contagrip Outsole

Geometric decoupling works with the foot to allow smooth and efficient load guidance which then translates into an effortless and efficient heel-to-toe transition. The decoupling axis is oriented more medially to create a larger lateral platform that will optimise speed and stability. A rubber outsole completes the shoe, supplying biting grip across slippery road surfaces. Super durable Wet Traction Contagrip covers the heel and forefoot, resisting the traumas of heel-strike and toe-off to provide you with a reliable and long-lasting running buddy.
