Salomon X Ultra 4 Walking Shoes

Equipped with a new chassis, the shoe is even better at protecting sensitive articulations without compromising freedom of movement.

Anti-Debris Mesh Upper

Constructed from a synthetic anti-debris mesh upper, the Salomon X Ultra 4 Walking Shoes encase each foot in breathable comfort. Perforations in the fabric increase airflow to create a better, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. A Sensifit system cradles the foot providing a precise and secure fit whilst the gusseted tongue sits comfortably against the skin and prevents debris from entering inside the shoe. Protection is key while out on the trails, so don't worry when wearing the X Ultra 4 as it features a protective heel cap for rearfoot stability and a protective rubber toe cap to enhance protection from loose or sharp rocks. Finishing off the upper is the mudguard which is a protective material all around the base of the shoe to help reduce the build-up of mud. A Quicklace system allows you to quickly and easily adjust the fit, whilst a lace pocket prevents any distractions whilst on the go.

EnergyCell Midsole

Within the midsole, the shoe has injected and compressed EVA which forms the EnergyCell Midsole. This multi-functional midsole will provide both comfort and protection, as it has dual-density EVA. Towards the bottom, the EVA is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. Energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. The higher you get in the midsole, the EVA becomes less densely packed, which will make every step feel comfortable. In addition to this, between the outsole and the midsole, there is a new ADV-C chassis. This targets articulations on the outer foot to optimize stability without limiting your mobility while also keeping the front of the shoe flexible for a more fluid ride. A molded OrthoLite sockliner is extremely soft and comfortable and works to wick away moisture keeping the feet cool and dry at all times.

Contagrip MA Outsole

The Salomon X Ultra 4 features a Contagrip MA outsole, providing unique traction technology and all-terrain grip. Contagrip MA is built for the widest variety of surfaces. It balances both the geometry and the rubber compound to deliver confidence on wet, dry, hard or loose surfaces, and offer long-term durability. The outsole grabs the terrain, even when it's wet or slippery, giving you more control especially on descents. When you are running on the wet and muddy ground, the shoe's deep chevron lugs dig into the ground, which will anchor you in place. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking and changing direction.
