Lightweight Mesh Upper

Lightweight and highly breathable, the Salomon Sonic 4 Accelerate Running Shoes have been constructed using a single-layer mesh upper. Acting as a lightweight second skin the mesh ensures you are able to go the distance in complete comfort. Perforations in the fabric encourage cool air to circulate, removing uncomfortable heat build-up to create a healthy environment for your foot to thrive in. The mesh fabric allows cool air to flow throughout the upper whilst, at the same time allowing hot humid air to escape so you can remain cool, dry and comfortable at all times. The mesh upper also works to support the foot as you move to ensure you always feel locked in and comfortable. Designed to be lightweight, the mesh works with the collar and tongue to ensure your feet never feel weighed down; so you feel like you're flying. The seamless featherlight collar is soft, comfortable and minimalist without sacrificing fit. As well as this, a Sensifit system cradles the foot providing a precise and secure fit; located on the top of the upper it provides a secure, snug and virtually customised fit all around the foot. Completing the upper is a lacing system which locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.

Optivibe Midsole

Salomon have used their unique Optivibe technology in the midsole to ensure an ultra-smooth ride and long-lasting comfort. The cushioned midsole provides a more comfortable ride, especially when striking down on hard, unforgiving surfaces but, it also works to provide vibration reduction and decoupling which are ideal when running off the beaten path. The Optivibe midsole has been constructed using a combination of foams which work to dampen shocks and propel you forward as you run. This works to reduce vibration upon footstrike and reduce muscle fatigue without affecting the overall ride. So you can go further for longer in complete comfort. Geometric Decoupling works with the foot to allow smooth and efficient load guidance which then translates into an effortless and efficient heel-to-toe transition. The decoupling axis offers quick transitions whilst delivering a bouncy, springy feeling each time you push off the ground.

Contagrip Outsole

Ensuring long-lasting grip, the outsole of the Salomon Sonic Accelerate 4 has been constructed using Contagrip. The outsole utilises an all-surface rubber compound and a versatile lug pattern, for a confident grip on both wet and dry surfaces. The full rubber outsole provides premium traction on loose terrain ensuring a solid bond between you and the ground. The durable rubber used on the outsole of the shoe is abrasion-resistant which will prevent any damage from occurring over a long period of time exposed to hard ground. The rubber compound offers a higher density of rubber in high-impact areas of the outsole where the most wear occurs throughout the miles, this helps reduce the wear and tear allowing you to run harder and for longer.
