GORE-TEX Upper

Constructed from a synthetic, welded upper, the Salomon Predict Hike GORE-TEX Walking Boots keep water at bay so you can walk with confidence no matter the weather. The durable upper offers a wide range of protection to help you gain the maximum from your footwear. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the boot; it supplies a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside, keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. Finishing off the upper is a traditional lacing system with eyelets that allows you to fully adjust the fit to ensure that you stay feeling secure as you go.

Energy Surge Midsole

Lightweight and responsive, the midsole of the Predict Hike is constructed with a combination of EVA and OBC foam designed to deliver long-lasting cushioning and outstanding bouncy energy return. The midsole provides a cushioned feel which is responsive to your every step enabling a higher energy transfer; for reduced fatigue as you run. The midsole is inspired by Salomon's ski heritage using curved geometry giving you the feel of floating over the ground as you move for a unique running experience. The Energy Surge midsole has been teamed with an Ortholite insole, which upgrades the comfort and performance of the Predict Hike. This insole has been moulded to match the contours of your foot to provide superior cushioning as well as enhance breathability and durability.

Contagrip MA Outsole

The Salomon Predict Hike GORE-TEX features a Contagrip MA outsole, providing unique traction technology and all-terrain grip. Contagrip MA is built for the widest variety of surfaces. It balances both the geometry and the rubber compound to deliver confidence on wet, dry, hard or loose surfaces, and offer long-term durability. The outsole grabs the terrain, even when it's wet or slippery, giving you more control especially on descents. When you are running on the wet and muddy ground, the boot's deep chevron lugs dig into the ground, which will anchor you in place. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking and changing direction.
