Salomon S/LAB GENESIS Men's Trail Running Shoes

The new S/LAB GENESIS is paving the way for a new open-minded take on high-commitment trail running. One where you rack up more shared experiences than PBs, and also where the distance is not about the number but about the adventure.

Matryx Mesh Upper

Supplying you complete traction and support on the trail, the S/LAB GENESIS utilise a combination of Matryx mesh and Kevlar thread. Matryx is a tougher-than-tough material that not only protects your feet from the impact, knocks and bumps on trail running adventures, but also offers you exceptional foot-mapping support to provide you with the greatest fit. The materials are durable and breathable, to prevent distractions or overheating, allowing feet to thrive even during the more intense stages of your race. Due to the weaving of the uppers, air will flow through the construction of the shoes, keeping your feet cool and comfortable, whilst moisture-wicking properties enhance your in-shoe comfort by also keeping your feet dry from sweat and moisture. The uppers have an internal EndoFit sleeve, which has been designed to hug the foot in the correct positions and provide you with a precise sock-like fit. Alongside this, a medial protective pad provides your feet with a durable, cushioned pad across the medial side of the instep for protection, and increased wear, preventing discomfort on the trail. The S/LAB GENESIS also feature an integrated gaiter to prevent dirt and debris from entering the shoes and provide you with additional protection from the elements. A protective toe cap further keeps toes shielded and safe from knocks and bumps on the trail. Completing the uppers is a Quicklace lacing system which is a minimal, yet effective construction to keep your foot locked in and secure in the shoes. The laces are easy to tighten and loosen with just one pull and can be stored away in the lace pocket provided.

EnergyFOAM Midsole

The S/LAB GENESIS utilises an EnergyFOAM midsole, a lightweight, responsive foam that combines both EVA and Olefin materials. This construction works to absorb shock and impact, providing you with a super plush level of cushioning, whilst still ensuring exceptional bounce and energy return. The comfort supplied by the midsole will keep you focused and ready to tackle the trails all day. Alongside this, the shoes have a Profeel Film underfoot, which helps keep your strides smooth and stable, by acting as a comfortable filter between you and the terrain.

Contagrip Outsole

Tackle any trails or terrain in supreme confidence that your shoe's grip won't let you down. Made from Contagrip, the outsole can form a solid grip between the shoe and the terrain. The rubber is also extremely durable and abrasion-resistant, guaranteeing long-term control. When you are on wet and muddy terrain, the shoe's deep lugs dig into the ground, which will anchor you in place. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking and changing direction.
