Matryx Mesh Upper
Supplying you complete traction and support on the trail, the S/LAB GENESIS utilises Matryx mesh and Kevlar thread. Matryx is a tougher-than-tough material that protects your feet from the impact, knocks and bumps on trail running adventures, but also offers you exceptional foot-mapping support to provide you with the greatest fit. The materials are durable and breathable, to prevent distractions or overheating, allowing feet to thrive even during the more intense stages of your race. Due to the weaving of the uppers, air will flow through the construction of the shoes, keeping your feet cool and comfortable, whilst moisture-wicking properties enhance your in-shoe comfort by keeping your feet dry from sweat and moisture. The uppers have an internal EndoFit sleeve, designed to hug the foot in the correct positions and provide you with a precise sock-like fit. Alongside this, a medial protective pad provides your feet with a durable, cushioned pad across the medial side of the instep for protection and increased wear, preventing discomfort on the trail. The S/LAB GENESIS features an integrated gaiter to prevent dirt and debris from entering the shoes and provide additional protection from the elements. A protective toe cap keeps toes shielded and safe from knocks and bumps on the trail. Completing the uppers is a Quicklace lacing system, which is a minimal yet effective construction to keep your foot locked in and secure in the shoes. The laces are easy to tighten and loosen with just one pull and can be stored away in the lace pocket provided.
EnergyFOAM Midsole
Built on a springy and comfortable midsole compound that delivers punch and pop while smoothing out your landings for a fluid ride, the S/LAB GENESIS provides lightweight and responsive cushioning. optiFOAM is a lightweight, springy and resilient foam compound that powers your stride forward. This lightweight foam delivers a maximum level of cushioning to ensure optimum in-shoe comfort and a responsive ride. Shock-absorbing properties prevent discomfort or injury by absorbing the impact caused by striking down on tough and changing surfaces. Thanks to its unique configuration of double-layered, ultra-soft optiFOAM, the S/LAB GENESIS provides optimal and stable ultra-distance cushioning when traversing tricky, changing trail conditions. Alongside this, the shoes have a Profeel Film underfoot, which helps keep your strides smooth and stable by acting as a comfortable filter between you and the terrain.
Contagrip Outsole
Tackle any trails or terrain in supreme confidence that your shoe's grip won't let you down. Made from Contagrip, the outsole can form a solid grip between the shoe and the terrain. The rubber is also extremely durable and abrasion-resistant, guaranteeing long-term control. When on wet and muddy terrain, the shoe's deep lugs dig into the ground, anchoring you in place. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking a stride, digging into the ground when braking and changing direction. Its raised tread and unique, two-part lug pattern offer an adaptable, super secure grip, ready to guide you safely through a variety of conditions.
