Matryx Upper

Engineered using a high-performance textile, the Matryx upper of the Genesis 2 has been designed to resist abrasion, making it perfect for mixed terrain training. With individually coated high-tenacity Kevlar and technical yarn, the durable upper is lightweight and breathable to keep you cool, dry, and comfortable, while protecting you from rocks and roots on the trails. A waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane keeps you dry and cool from the inside and out, protecting you from the elements so you can run fearlessly. The endoFit internal sleeve hugs your foot where you need it, providing a precise fit. A padded tongue and ankle collar sit close to the foot to increase comfort while preventing dirt and debris from entering. A quickLACE system offers easy on/ off with one-pull tightening. The lace is minimalistic for reduced bulk and strong for a secure fit.

optiFOAM Midsole

Constructed using a springy and comfortable OptiFOAM midsole compound that delivers superior cushioning while smoothing out your landings, the Genesis provides lightweight and responsive cushioning. OptiFOAM is a lightweight, responsive, resilient foam that powers your stride forward. The foam delivers maximum cushioning, ensuring in-shoe comfort and a responsive ride. Shock-absorbing properties prevent discomfort or injury by absorbing impact when striking on tough, changing surfaces. Additionally, the Genesis has an activeCHASSIS to provide a great amount of support, helping to further prevent injuries from occurring and keeping feet comfortable. The midsole also utilises a rocker shape geometry to assist in the gait cycle, using the energy of your last stride to power you into your next one for an effortless feel and explosive toe-off that helps you rack up the miles easily.

All-Terrain contaGRIP Outsole

The Genesis is complete with an All-Terrain contaGRIP outsole, providing supreme traction and an all-terrain grip. The durable outsole is built for a variety of surfaces, balancing geometry and the amount of rubber to deliver confidence on wet, dry, hard or loose ground, offering long-term durability. The outsole adapts to the terrain, even when it's wet or slippery, giving you more control, especially on descents. Multi-directional lugs dig into the ground, anchoring you in place, perfect for wet, muddy terrain. This also acts as a solid base from which you can push off when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking or changing direction.
