The 2nd generation of the Trail Runner Free series, the Trail Runner Free 2 Ultra Headlamp is an excellent lightweight, flexible running and late-night companion. The Ultra version of the Trail Runner Free is the top model choice for those who want to run often and for a long time with a great deal of flexibility from the battery life. This headlamp comes with both a compact hybrid battery case and the rechargeable 4.0 Ah (14.8 Wh) long-range battery, which is perfect when you want to be ready for ultra races as well as an exercise loop in the local area. The battery also has a 4-stage battery indicator and is charged with the supplied USB cable. Ultrarunners have been an extremely important part of the development work of this product, meaning running has been the sole focus in developing the headlamp and its small details. Utilising Silva Intelligent Light the headlamp has dual light sources so that you can have both strong lighting, as well as, soft lighting where you put your feet down. This means that your visibility is improved during late-night adventures, and less head movement is needed when you're running, allowing you to focus on the run or race ahead. Not only this, but the Silva Intelligent Light also reduces the risk of fatigue and tension headaches due to a shaky light image. The headlamp is light and well-balanced, with smooth adjustment options and a flat soft, tangle-free extension cable. Free Technology is utilised to prevent distractions from power cords by keeping the cables integrated into the headbands for a comfortable headlamp experience. Keeping things comfortable on your head the headtorch has a soft headband which will stay firmly in place thanks to the thin silicone string on the inside of the headband. The battery can also be easily mounted on the headband or kept warm in your pockets to maximise battery power. The headlamp is also water-resistant meaning that both the lamp and the battery meet the IPX5 standard and will not get damaged in changing weather.
