Lightweight Mesh Upper

Surrounding the upper of the Lite Train K, the mesh is extremely breathable and lightweight. This will mean that air will be able to flow in and out of the shoe with ease. Warm air and moisture that builds up within the shoe are easily able to escape through the mesh, where it is then replaced by cooler air outside the shoe. This constant cycle will help to keep the feet feeling ventilated during high-intensity activity. Sweat that builds up within the shoe is also wicked away extremely efficiently and effectively by the mesh, which will keep you feeling dry and comfortable. The shoe uses Salewa's 3F System to further improve the fit. This system will improve the flexibility of the upper, which also providing support and remove irritations and distractions that come with an uncomfortable fit. Secure laces will ensure that you will always be able to find a secure and comfortable fit all the way up the foot. A flat-lying tongue will sit comfortably on the top of the foot, and a padded ankle collar will reduce the risk of irritation caused by rubbing and chafing. Within the shoe, there is an Ortholite footbed. This will wick moisture away efficiently and effectively, as well as providing a comfortable and soft surface for the sole of the foot.

EVA Midsole

Designed to offer you comfort as well as cushioning for long days on the trail, the midsole will work to make your gait cycle feel more fluent. Towards the bottom of the midsole, the EVA is extremely firm, which means that heavy shocks and impacts are absorbed instantly and effectively, stopping the pressure from reaching the sole of the foot. As well as this, there is less densely packed EVA which has the purpose of cushioning the foot. By having this EVA, the cushioning will make landings feel smoother, which will mean that the ankles and knees will have less pressure put on them.

Michelin Lite Train Outsole

Working in partnership with the world-renowned tyre brand Michelin, Salewa have teamed up to provide an outsole that provides aggressive grip whilst keeping the overall weight of the shoe down to a minimum. The highly technical outsole uses a rubber that is able to form a solid connection with a wide range of surfaces, keeping you in full control. The lightweight material used will also contribute to keeping the overall weight of the shoe down to a minimum. The aggressive lug design will also improve traction, especially on wet ground, as it will dig into the surface and stabilise the foot. When walking across slopes and other uneven terrains, the Outdoor Compound on the surface of the outsole will provide optimal adaptability, which will improve the performance of the shoe. The whole of the shoe is vegan friendly.
