Sprayway Uska Jacket

A blown synthetic insulated jacket that excels in the cold damp climate of the UK.

Constructed using a TecShell polyamide fabrication the Sprayway Uska Jacket is lightweight, durable and highly water-resistant. The Uska Jacket uses TecSHELL 20D to bring you a truly durable garment fit for a variety of outdoor use. The fabrication resists the risks of wear and tear ensuring peace of mind as you explore the unbeaten path. The fabrication protects agaisnt knocks and scrapes increases durability and preventing the garment from becoming frayed or worn. As well as this, the face fabric is highly windproof meaning it protects agaisnt strong winds to keep you toasty and warm in cold weather conditions. Not only is the jacket windproof but it also boasts a water-resistant outer which repels light rain and snow to keep you comfortable and dry during the winter months plus, the fabric is also downproof to reduce the risk of your down feathers poking a hole in your new outdoor jacket. Furthermore, 250g of InsoFILL loose blown synthetic fill has been used within the jacket to provide down-like comfort and loft. The InsoFILL insulation traps heat within its fibres to increase loft and heat retention so you'll always remain toasty and warm. The synthetic fill retains warmth even when wet so you won't have to worry when you're caught in rainfall plus, the fill is processed like down and blown into the baffles where it can expand to its full loft for added warmth.

A grow on semi-elastane bound hood with shaped peak is quick and easy to use, so when the rain starts to fall, you can shape the hood and cover your head quickly and with little hassle. As well as this, a full-zip exists for complete temperature control, it can be worn up to seal in the heat and zipped down to release an intolerable heat build-up plus, an insulated placket prevents weather entry through the zip to keep you feeling toasty and warm. The hem has an adjustable drawcord, which makes tightening and loosening to size easy to achieve. This can be adjusted to make it more comfortable, or to block wind from entering the jacket and causing discomfort. Elastane cuffs on the wrist also work to retain heat, as well as offering a stay-put fit. Lastly, on the front of the jacket, 2 zippered hand pockets are perfect for cold winter days or if you need a place to stash a few essential items.

About SPRAYWAY

Founded in 1974 by two outdoor enthusiasts in Manchester, England the brand quickly became one of Britain's leading outdoor clothing companies. Sprayway has been keeping the British public warm, dry and comfortable in all conditions ever since. From humble beginnings out of a garage in Chorlton, Manchester; to kitting out arctic explorers and National Park rangers. Sprayway has been keeping the British public warm, dry and comfortable since 1974.

John Hunt and Simon Wright initially began making sailing clothing as a natural extension of their passion for competitive dinghy sailing. They were also keen mountaineers and recognised a lack of solid, durable and waterproof climbing clothing at the time. Driven on by the famous Manchester climate surrounding them, the two began manufacturing coated waterproof jackets. By 1982 the brand had launched its first GORE-TEX jacket, the Snipe and in 1983 became the first company to machine tape non-GORE-TEX waterproof clothing, named the Hydro-dry range. Hydro-dry remains an integral technology to this day.

Now in its 40th year, the SPRAYWAY brand continues to use innovative fabrics across a wide range of products and continues to produce garments which utilise cutting edge technology whilst remaining true to their Mancunian roots.
