Jacquard Mesh Upper

The upper of the U-Tech energy has been created using a highly breathable and lightweight jacquard mesh for constant airflow and the perfect fit. Perforations within the fabric allow fresh air to flow, for a pleasant cooling sensation while built-up heat and vapour escape, keeping you comfortable and focused on the road ahead. An optimised last in the build process ensures the ultimate fit with excellent freedom of movement, while a moulded heel cup secures your foot for great stability and confidence. Keeping you training, whether early in the morning or at night, reflective details on the upper deliver 360-degree reflectivity so you stay seen in low-light conditions. The upper is finished with ultra-secure, elastic oval laces made from recycled materials, ensuring a secure, locked-in fit.

U-Tech Midsole

Featuring True Motion's innovative U-Tech midsole, the U-Tech Energy is designed for maximum running comfort. The biologically researched and anatomically designed U-Tech technology provides perfect centring, reducing the risk of injury by up to 50%, by absorbing shocks when striking down onto tough road surfaces. This, therefore, keeps feet feeling fresh and comfortable across all distances. The midsole foam is 30% lighter than other U-TECH models, keeping you light on your feet as you move. The comfortable midsole construction provides feet with a trampoline-like running effect, with outstanding energy return, optimising running comfort. Between the upper and foam, True Motion has included Motion Bridge Technology, which enhances energy transfer and smooth transitions between the forefoot and rearfoot during the gait cycle. It acts as a connecting bridge, inspired by the plantar structures of the foot, to facilitate optimal energy transfer between the (decoupled) forefoot and rearfoot. A reactive insole increases underfoot cushioning for instant step-in comfort.

High Performance Rubber Outsole

For exceptional levels of grip and traction on varying terrain, the shoes have a newly developed High-Performance Rubber compound and non-slip outsole. This is a grippy compound that keeps you stable underfoot, allowing you to get traction on all types of ground, even wet, soggy terrain. The rubber compound is also ultra-durable, providing a long-lasting grip and reliability on your run. Adorning the outsole are TrueFlex zones, which help to provide a healthy heel-toe transition and a dynamic foot strike.
