What is the Due North Trail Race Series?
The Due North Trail Race Series consists of six individual Trail Races, aimed at runners of all ages and abilities.
From those new to trail running, those wanting to increase distance and those more experienced runners who are looking to test themselves over a new course.
Due North are keen to promote events which are inclusive, therefore we think that all the courses, although technical in parts and include some challenging terrain and ascents, are accessible to all because routes are fully marked and have generous cut-off times. This way the experienced runner can take on the course, mentally and physically pushing themselves across the mud, steep climbs and tricky descents, whilst the less experienced, or ‘leisurely runner’ can relax and take in the stunning scenery and enjoy the experience of running in this beautiful part of the country.

What’s included:
- Every runner will receive a FREE gift bag with Due North merchandise and race goodies.
- Each runner will also get food and drink at the finish included in the entry cost.
- Car parking is included.

Food & Drink:
- Water stops will be allocated along the route with various refreshments.
- Please have a bottle or cup to use as we are aiming to be more environmentally friendly.
Kit requirements:
For each race you are required to have the minimum of a waterproof jacket with hood, a cup/bottle – no cups are provided at the drink stations – and a mobile phone with a location app such as OS Locate https://shop.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/apps/other-apps/os-locate/,
For anyone who prefers to have a paper map rather than a GPS device/mobile app, then grid references and a diagram of the route can be found on each individual race page.
Additional Info:
No dogs are permitted to join you on the race due to crossing farmland.

1. 22/04/23 - Burnsall 10K and Half-Marathon
Supported by SportsShoes, The North Face and Active Inclusion.
Set in the beautiful riverside village of Burnsall, both routes offer stunning views of the Yorkshire Dales, with a mix of terrain suitable for trail runners of all abilities.
At the event, there will be a The North Face shoe test zone, providing the opportunity for runners to try the new The North Face VECTIV™️ 2.0 trail shoe range.
We have some amazing prizes on offer, including a pair of The North Face VECTIV™️ shoes for the male and female race winners in both events.

2. 27/05/23 - Kettlewell 10K and Half-Marathon
Supported by SportsShoes, Salomon and Active Inclusion
A challenging race with around 900m of ascent. The route takes runners over 3 steep climbs and each descent thrilling enough to give you the adrenaline rush ready to take on the next climb. These hills reward you with spectacular views of Wharfedale, some of the most beautiful scenery in the Yorkshire dales. Riverside footpaths, rolling moors and grassy descents make this a race not to be missed.
The 10k will take the same route as the Kettlewell Trail Half Marathon taking on the big climb out of Arncliffe to the top of Arncliffe Moor, then 10k runners will stay on the top of the moor for 3km , mainly a gentle downhill , some undulating and stunning views over Starbotton and Kettlewell. Then you will complete the 10k with a downhill finish looking out towards Kilnsey Crag.
At the event, there will be a Salomon shoe test zone, providing the opportunity for runners to try the new Salomon trail shoe range.

3. 09/09/23 - Malham 10K and Half-Marathon (NEW FOR 2023)
Supported by SportsShoes and New Balance
The inaugural Malham 10k Trail Race will be the third race in the Due North Trail Trilogy and this is the perfect opportunity to explore the beautiful village of Malham, the jewel in the Yorkshire Dales crown!
Starting in Malham show field in the village, you will run through the famous locations of Malham Cove and Malham Tarn. A climb up to Weets Top will reward you with a long descent with amazing views all the way.
