What is GORE-TEX Invisible Fit Footwear?
GORE-TEX Invisible Fit Footwear is targeted at the athletic outdoor person and features in shoes aimed at running, recreational hiking and athletic inspired lifestyle.
With GORE-TEX Invisible Fit Footwear, the GORE-TEX Laminate (textile backer and membrane) is part of the shoes upper. The laminate and upper are directly bonded together so that the GORE-TEX Laminate and upper (external textile) becomes one piece.
This creates a sock-like lining that allows full protection of the foot to prevent any water from entering in. By creating this direct bond, it also allows the exact shape of the last form to be followed, which gives GORE-TEX Invisible Fit Footwear the same fit and feel to the identical non-waterproof style
Having the GORE-TEX Laminate bonded to the upper makes the upper more breathable and can reduce the weight of the shoe, making it lighter to wear and allowing a quicker dry out time.

How does it differ from the standard GORE-TEX Footwear?
With other GORE-TEX Footwear, such as the bootie construction, the lining is added separately, by being stitched at the collar on the upper and tacked at the heel and toe. If the external textile of the shoes are not correctly treated this can sometimes cause water to be held between the upper material and bootie.
With GORE-TEX Invisible Fit Footwear being bonded directly, it doesn’t allow space for water to be trapped, so the shoe is lighter and can dry out faster.
