Ultraweave upper
The upper of the evoSPEED Spikes has been created with a lightweight Ultraweave upper that will encase each foot in streamlined comfort. The lightweight structure allows air to flow through it thanks to perforations in the fabric, these create a better, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. On the instep of the shoes, Puma have added PWRTAPE, which has been designed to provide structure to the shoe as well as support the foot and reduce in-shoe movement. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system with Velcro straps that help to lock the midfoot to prevent excessive movement, with the secondary strap proving essential during the hop, skimp jump phases for the triple jump.
Lightweight Foam Midsole
Super responsive and lightweight, the midsole reacts to each step providing cushioning on impact. This cushioning is important on footstrike as it reduces the amount of shock that is felt resulting in better and longer-lasting performance. A carbon fibre bounce plate adds unbeatable re-bounce, and the midsole is cemented to the strobel board for security. Atop this, an Ortholite sockliner provides step-in comfort. The midsole stack is World Athletics legal for both triple jump and pole vault.
7 Pin Sharkskin and Pebax Outsole
The outsole has been made with a dual-density Pebax plate that provides enforced stiffness and strength along the midfoot area to allow for a powerful, propulsive takeoff. The aggressive sprint plate has 7 replaceable spike pin receptacles for ultimate traction and propulsion, biting into the track surface for great grip. The spikes are the internationally allowed length and size for indoor and outdoor tracks and are recommended for MONDO type track surfaces. The sharkskin heel provides durability and traction, keeping you in control when it matters most.
