Soft against your skin, the reduced seams stop irritation or chafing when powering through twists and turns on the trails, therefore keeping you focused on what's important. A streamlined ankle collar is stretchy for a slip-on fit and works with the speed laces to get the perfect, secure fit, reducing in-shoe slipping and locking down the midfoot. The laces can be easily stored in the lace pocket to stop distractions when you're on the move.

FF Leap and FF Blast Plus Midsole

Built for ultrarunners who want to push their speed, the Metafuji Trail 2 utilises a combination of FF Leap and FF Blast Plus for optimum comfort on the trail. The FF Leap cushioning is ASICS' lightest midsole foam, designed to deliver powerful energy return and optimum forward propulsion. It has an incredibly lightweight feel to support race-day speed when you're competing and training. Working with this is FF Blast Plus, which provides you with a blend of cloud-like cushioning and a responsive feel that is lighter than your average FF Blast cushioning. Sandwiched between the dual-layer of plush cushioning, the X-shaped full-length carbon plate has a unique geometry and positioning which has been specifically tailored towards those tackling uneven trails with speed.
