Engineered Mesh Upper

This new generation of the iconic Gel-Kayano utilises a redesigned, engineered mesh upper for improved breathability and a comfortable experience. A lightweight design with strategic perforations provides feet with exceptional in-shoe comfort by allowing a constant supply of fresh air to travel through the upper. Cool air travels freely through the structure, preventing overheating, whilst moisture-wicking properties keep feet dry from sweat and moisture, particularly when you're under pressure. Updated from their predecessors, the materials deliver a more adaptive, secure and lighter overall construction, so you run more efficiently. A seamless design prevents irritation and chafing from ruining your runs, while a lightweight tongue and stretchy collar keep you secure. A traditional lace-up system locks down the midfoot, preventing in-shoe slipping during movement. Finally, reflective elements enhance visibility in low-light conditions.

FF Blast Max and FF Blast Plus Midsole

A dual-layer construction is featured throughout the midsole of the Gel-Kayano 33s. The top layer is super-soft FF Blast Max for outstanding, responsive comfort. This is one of ASICS' most energetic midsole foams, providing cloud-like softness and super-responsive energy during each step. This compound delivers a soft, bouncy stride, keeping the midsole light. Below, FF Blast Plus works with the midsole to help cradle the foot and enhance stability. The compound absorbs impact, reducing the risk of injury or discomfort during tough miles. Combined, the midsole foams create a balanced ride that feels plush, supportive and comfortable. Now even softer than their predecessors, the shoes utilise an updated Rearfoot GEL technology. Combining ASICSGRIP and AHARPLUS compounds in key areas, the outsole of the Gel-Kayano 33 deliver excellent grip and durability. The compound provides reliable traction, whilst still ensuring comfort and stability. ASICS' High Abrasion Rubber compound is strategically placed in high-wear areas to improve durability and reduce excessive wear over time. Designed to offer dependable grip across a variety of surfaces, the outsole features strategically positioned lugs to enhance traction and help prevent slipping or loss of control. Flex grooves promote natural foot flexion for smoother, unrestricted movement, working alongside the rubber compound to provide secure underfoot traction when running.
