The durable mesh and TPU upper of the Merrell Fluxion GORE-TEX Trail Running Shoes ensures you are able to go the distance in complete comfort. Perforations in the mesh encourage cool air to circulate, removing uncomfortable heat build-up to create a healthy environment for your foot to thrive in, whilst the TPU offers water resistance and durability for exceptional performance on the trail. Engineered with a GORE-TEX waterproof membrane, the Fluxion offers complete waterproof performance and exceptional breathability; step confidently and comfortably through wet and muddy terrain as the GORE-TEX membrane allows water vapour to escape without letting water droplets in. For a secure and firm fit, the is a Hyperlock TPU film heel counter which protects the rearfoot from damage from bumps and shocks. A traditional lace closure will allow you to find the perfect fit every time. A soft padded tongue and ankle collar will reduce the risk of irritation being caused by rubbing and chafing.
Compression Moulded EVA Midsole
The compression-moulded EVA midsole provides unprecedented stability, agility, and comfort, supporting the natural motion of the foot and providing comfort through the gait cycle and ultimately reducing those harmful shock and impact forces. The moulded nylon arch shank provides a supportive structure that resides between the insole and the outsole; diminishing the load incurred on your feet and calves over the course of your adventure the moulded nylon arch shank helps to reduce fatigue, whilst the EVA removable footbed provides you with the opportunity to add in your own insoles.
Durable Rubber Outsole
The tough rubber used on the outsole is able to withstand the most challenging of surfaces, protecting itself from damage, and protecting the users from losing control and slipping over. The outsole delivers durable, highly slip-resistant stability on wet and dry ground and over mixed terrain. Multi-directional lugs also make control easier when moving as they dig into the ground, which helps all directions of movements and push-offs. The sloping protrusions mean that dirt is released making sure that it doesn't affect performance.
