Open-Weave Upper

Pushing you forwards and adding style and comfort to your run, the Cloudboom Strike 2 uses a highly technical, open-weave upper. This breathable upper allows a consistent layer of fresh, cool air to surround your feet, preventing you from overheating and keeping you comfortable when things get intense. Replacing warm, muggy air, the cool air allows you to concentrate on the race ahead and thanks to quick-drying capabilities, the premium, performance-based upper targets specific areas of your foot to ensure they stay dry from sweat and moisture. Supporting you on long-distance runs, the upper optimises durability, ensuring reliability mile-after-mile, and preventing the risks of excessive wear from bumps and bashes on the move. The nearly seamless construction reduces irritation or chafing during movement, providing you with a comfortable experience. A cushioning collar works with the flat-laying tongue to keep your foot well-contained during excessive movement. Completing the uppers, the Cloudboom Strike 2 features traditional laces to get the perfect fit, working to lock down the midfoot for focused runs.

CloudTec Sphere Midsole

A major evolution to the Cloudboom Strike, this 2nd generation shoe utilises a newly designed CloudTec Sphere foam through the midsole to enhance your performance. Unique to On's collection, the midsole features engineered cushioning channels which help to enhance comfort and optimise running efficiency, whilst ensuring speed and endurance are at the forefront of the construction. Absorbing impact during tough miles, the cushioning propels you into each step and helps to reduce the risks of injury by returning energy, for a fresh-leg advantage when racing. Working alongside this, the Helion HF compound is 15% lighter than its predecessor and even more resilient, for a lightweight, long-lasting experience whilst providing even more energy return. Sandwiched between this plush cushioning is a Carbon Speedboard, for a snappy, propulsive underfoot feel. The curved carbon Speedboard is even lighter, stiffer than its predecessors and enhances forward momentum during every stride. Atop this exceptionally soft, comfortable midsole design, the removeable top midsole adds even more softness and a responsive ride. A thin gap between the forefoot and the midfoot allows the midsole to adapt to your movement more freely, flexing in multiple directions for smooth heel-to-toe transitions.

Durable Rubber Outsole

Keeping you focused and supported across changing road race surfaces and on long miles, the running shoes feature a high-grip rubber outsole. Improving slip resistance and reducing the overall weight of the shoes, this rubber supports you on a range of road-running conditions and supplies a strong grip with the ground below.
