Puma Fast-R 2 Nitro Elite Running Shoes
Built to help you break your PB, Fast R-2 utilises the enhanced benefits of Nitro Elite technology, providing you with unbeatable speed and cushioning, propelling your race day to new territories, from short runs to marathons and every distance in between.
Ultraweave Upper
Made from Puma's Ultraweave Upper, the Fast-R 2 Nitro Elites have an ultra-light construction, designed to keep your feet comfortable, lightweight and breathable. The upper materials have a 4-way stretch design that reduces weight and allows the foot to move comfortably providing a perfect sock-like fit. The perforations within the fabric allow cool air to flow, whilst hot muggy air escapes, providing a cooling sensation as you move and a drier, healthier environment for your feet to thrive. Not only this, but the upper is highly durable thanks to its construction, leaving you with shoes that are built to last. On the instep of the shoes, Puma has added PWRTAPE, which has been designed to provide structure and support, whilst also providing you with protection in areas that are more high-wearing. Finally, the traditional laces provide a secure, locked-in feel as you move.
Nitro Elite Midsole
Showcasing a unique, lightweight design, the midsole of the Fast-R 2 Nitro Elite has been created using Puma's most elite foam, Nitro Elite. This is a nitrogen-infused foam, which is lightweight and springy, providing you with high energy return and responsiveness. Infusing nitrogen into the foam, Puma has been able to expand their midsoles, by doing so the shoes are extremely comfortable underfoot whilst also providing maximum propulsion with each step, letting you run further and faster with ease. Not only will the foam help propel you forward helping you to hit those PBs, but it also absorbs shocks and negative impact forces as you strike hard unforgiving surfaces, by doing so this reduces stress on the joints and the risk of injury. In providing this outstanding midsole compound, the shoes provide an outstanding 22% more energy storage than their predecessors and up to 46% more raw energy return, providing an exceptionally lightweight, more economical ride, saving you minutes from your marathon. Also, the exposed PWRPLATE extends through the midsole, a carbon-fibre plate that enhances energy return and forward propulsion, keeping you focused on your target.
PUMAGRIP Outsole
Made using PUMAGRIP materials on the outsole of the Fast-R 2 Nitro Elites, the shoes have a maximum level of grip on multiple surfaces, allowing you to step out to conquer the racecourse in full confidence of achieving serious speed. This outsole construction combines a perfect combination of hardness for durability and softness for grip, thanks to a construction that has been optimised specifically for wet grounds.
