adidas Terrex Speed Ultra Trail Running Shoes

This shoe brings together many innovations to support you on your journey. Inspired by gravel bikes, the lug pattern of the outsole offers great traction. Combining two types of lightweight materials, the midsole cushions feet and gives energy back without compromising on stability. The tongue and heel tabs are padded for comfort and the upper is light, breathable and drainage-ready.

Abrasion-Resistant Mesh Upper

Constructed using an abrasion-resistant mesh, the Terrex Agravic Speed Ultra Trail Running Shoes ensure ample breathability and top abrasion resistance. The mesh allows air to fully permeate throughout the shoe, providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air whilst simultaneously pushing out hot, muggy air. Supplying flexible support, the mesh works to increase ventilation and eradicate the build-up of sweat which is unavoidable during exercise. Sweat and moisture are wicked away from the feet leaving you feeling fresh and ready to clock up the miles in extreme comfort. Abrasion-resistant weldings protect your shoes and feet from loose debris so you can run without worry. The breathable sock-like construction ensures a snug, comfortable fit whilst a lace closure system locks down the foot to reduce in-shoe slippage.

Boost Midsole

adidas again take cushioning and responsiveness to new heights, with their ultra-responsive midsole. As many know now, Boost is constructed from tiny TPU capsules that are moulded together to form a platform that is different to standard, solid foams; absorbing energy and then expelling it back out for a bounce-like effect. This energy return technology reduces the use of superfluous muscle power, diminishing fatigue and enhancing performance; keeping you going for longer. Capturing the energy you put into running and blasting it right back out, the newly optimised Boost midsole brings even more energy return to your ride. What makes this boost arguably better than other midsole compounds is that adidas has made the boost firmer to deliver 20% more responsiveness and cushioning compared to the original Ultra Boost. Boost also manages to maintain its special function and bounce in conditions as low as -20 degrees, making it a reliable, durable and hard to beat midsole.

Continental Rubber Outsole

The Terrex Agravic Speed features a Rubber outsole from Continental. Their decades of experience with tyres has allowed Continental to develop an elite rubber outsole that allows you to reach unprecedented levels of both speed and safety, whether you are on flats, uphill, or downhill. The winter compounds created by Continental are used on their award-winning tyres, so you can rely on this outsole for outstanding traction and control. An adidas Continental sole gives you 30% more grip on dry and wet surfaces; as you run you can feel this incredible technology working and keeping you safe, whether you are on mud, grass, stone, snow or ice. Lastly, a multidirectional lug pattern is inspired by "Race King" mountain bike tyres to provide unparalleled grip.
