GORE-TEX Upper

Mesh and synthetic uppers will encase each foot in durable comfort. Perforates in the fabric increase airflow, promoting a better healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. Synthetic overlays reinforce the shoe's protective, hiking-worthy state; increasing rigidity and defending your feet against roots, rocks and general hazards. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the shoe; supplying a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside; keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. Completing the upper is a lace closure system which helps to anchor you to the midsole and reduce in-shoe slippage so that you can enjoy smooth, distraction-free strides.

Lightweight EVA Midsole

A full-length platform of EVA resides underfoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning. Generous, soft and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces. Exceptionally lightweight, the EVA ensures long-lasting cushioning to keep you comfortable on long distance days. EVA is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. Energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. The midsole ensures you're ready for the unpredictable trails and tough terrain.

Traxion Outsole

A Traxion Outsole completes the AX2 GORE-TEX, employing an aggressive lug pattern to deliver multi-directional grip. The outsole supplies biting traction made for awkward ascents and daring descents. Offering both durability and grip, the Traxion outsole completes the adidas AX2's perfectly.
