Engineered Mesh Upper

The FWD VIA 2 has been created with an engineered mesh upper to provide optimum breathability and durability, for focused, distraction-free runs. The perforations throughout the uppers encourage fresh, cool air to flow into the shoes, while removing built-up heat to keep your feet feeling comfortable, even during those intense, long runs or training sessions. Just like the first generation, the shoes remain flexible, allowing feet to move comfortably and freely for distraction-free strides. The shoes' moisture-wicking properties prevent sweat build-up, wicking sweat and moisture from the skin's surface and pushing it to the outer layer for quick evaporation, preventing that clammy feeling. Additionally, the shoes have the Original FootShape Fit, the roomiest toe box of all FootShape options. This allows your toes to splay freely for a more comfortable and natural feel, while providing extra space in the midfoot for added comfort. A soft, cushioned tongue and collar remain, allowing your feet to sit comfortably in the shoes, keeping you secure while preventing irritation or chafing. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system to lock in the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slipping for distraction-free running.

Altra EGO P35 Midsole

The FWD VIA 2 receives a completely new midsole with the Altra EGO P35 foam unit, engineered for both comfort and responsiveness. This innovative midsole provides excellent rebound and cushioning, effectively absorbing impact to help prevent injuries. The cushioning is positioned directly underfoot, minimising ground impact and efficiently returning energy with each step, giving you a spring-like feel. The midsole also utilises a rocker shape geometry to assist in the gait cycle, using the energy of your last stride to power you into your next one for an effortless feel and explosive toe-off that helps you rack up the miles easily.

Durable Rubber Outsole
