<p> Constructed using a Breathable Russel Mesh Upper, the ASICS GT-1000 9 Running Shoes feature a breathable mesh upper which encases each foot in breathable comfort. The mesh allows air to fully permeate the entire upper, providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air. The mesh upper creates a perfect microclimate for your feet to thrive in. Overlays have been used on the upper to increase structure and support. The overlays have been placed around the midfoot and around the toe for long-lasting comfort and guide. Completing the upper is a lacing system which locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage for a distraction-free fit.</p>

Flytefoam is the lightest cushioning material ASICS has ever made, 55% lighter than the industry standard midsole compounds and it buffers against the ground to protect you from unnecessary stress and fatigue. Embedded within this pillowy platform, and complimenting its bouncy nature, is the Rearfoot GEL Cushioning System. It works to reduce shock during the impact phase and promotes a peaceful transition to midstance. ASICS contrast their cushioning with the Duomax Support System. Implemented on the medial side, it helps to control pronation and reduce the risk of injury, enhancing stability and support without sacrificing lightweight or comfort. </p>
