Crafted with 3L GORE-TEX ePE fabric, the Extrem Vanguard jacket is super waterproof and windproof while also being highly breathable and durable; it can withstand tough weather as well as possible snags and bumps during tricky climbs. Additionally, reflective Trango detailing can be located on the back of the jacket, ensuring you stay visible in low-light conditions. Highly technical Berghaus pattern cutting has been implemented into the body and sleeve design, adding exceptional arm lift and maximising your freedom of movement for unrestricted use. The jacket features a fixed, helmet-compatible hood for rainy ascents, with both a wired and stiffened peak to enhance cover without sacrificing visibility, with Cohaesive Cord-locks that allow you to completely adjust the fit of the hood when wearing gloves. The same Cord-locks from Cohaesive can be found within the dual hem adjusters, helping you find the right fit with ease. Both sleeves feature cuff tabs with hook and loop adjustments to keep the elements out and contain the heat within. When cooling down becomes your priority, easily dump heat through the two-way pit zips. The jacket incorporates several storage options, featuring two raised chest pockets equipped with long, two-way water-resistant zips that allow for quick access while protecting your essentials from the elements. Alongside two harness-compatible pockets that have been raised to keep them accessible while harnessed, an internal security zipped pocket for valuables and a mesh dump pocket for extra venting.
