Similar to their predecessors, the Ghost Max 2 has a mesh upper, however this time more breathable and even lighter in weight. This will provide you with optimised comfort and a breathable, fresh-wearing experience. The shoes have strategic perforations to allow cool air to circulate to help regulate temperature and prevent overheating. Additionally, moisture-wicking properties provide excellent in-shoe comfort, by reducing the risks of sweat and moisture build-up, to keep your feet dry and cosy, especially during those more intense periods of your run. The shoes have a protective, cushioned toe guard to keep toes shielded during your run, and a rigid heel counter to keep feet secure, with soft padding for extra comfort. A plush, padded tongue sits comfortably against your foot and works to prevent dirt or debris from entering. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system that provides a locked-in, secure fit so you can enjoy every stride without in-shoe slipping occurring.
DNA Loft v3 Midsole
An update from their predecessors, for a lightweight companion, the Ghost Max 2 has a DNA Loft v3 midsole compound to provide even more softness and in-shoe comfort than the Ghost Max. This is a nitrogen-infused DNA Loft foam, to keep the cushioning extremely soft, and lightweight, whilst being highly durable to enhance the longevity of the midsole of the shoe. The DNA Loft v3 provides feet with a protective feel and provides easy landings. This design provides energy return to keep you focused on every stride, with shock-absorbing properties to prevent you from becoming uncomfortable and reduce injuries when you're undergoing tough miles. A broad base and solid side walls offer inherent stability, to provide a secure feel. The Ghost Max 2 utilises Brooks' GlideRoll rocker which has an upward curve at the heel and toe to encourage smooth, natural strides, helping to propel forwards.
