Matryx Mesh Upper

Showcasing a highly resistant upper, the Hoka Mafate Hike ensures protection from a variety of elements to make sure you reach your destination still swathed in dry comfort. The upper utilises Matryx, a high-performance textile that is highly durable, protecting against bumps and snags while on unpredictable trails. Made with tight-knit mesh, it prevents dirt from entering the shoe without sacrificing airflow, with perforations within the upper allowing for air to circulate effectively around the foot. Helping heat escape and, in turn, allowing cool freshness to enter, reducing fatigue and boosting motivation to push onwards. The boots feature Hoka's stretchy, patent-pending dynamic vamp, which allows you to move better without sacrificing durability, providing a running-shoe-like flex. A TPU Heel Clip has been added to the design, providing crucial stability when crossing uneven terrain by locking the heel in place for less movement within the boot. An ARIAPRENE collar has been utilised to prevent unwanted debris and dirt from entering and causing discomfort. Finally, a quick lace system has been added for quick and easy midfoot lockdown that keeps your foot secure without worry of laces coming undone.

Vibram Megagrip Outsole

Offering highly sticky grip and traction, the Mafate Hike features a single, full-length rubber outsole of Vibram Megagrip. This adds durability to the sole for longevity and shields you from sharp sticks and stones for a distraction-less hike. This high-performance rubber compound offers unparalleled grip on both dry and wet terrain and is up to any challenge. It gives you confidence and control, while maintaining an optimal balance between stability and flexibility for ground adaptation. 5mm Traction lugs have been added along the full length of the outsole, helping you grip easily when climbing, cornering and descending; biting down into soft and slippery surfaces.
