Engineered Mesh Upper

The upper of the Rincon 5 has been constructed using an engineered mesh upper to wrap your foot in breathable comfort. Perforations in the upper's fabric encourage cool air to flow, while releasing built-up heat, keeping feet comfortable no matter how intense your run becomes. The upper wicks away excess sweat and moisture, transporting them to the shoe's outer layer, leaving your feet feeling dry and comfortable as you chase down another PB. The shoes include a padded tongue and collar that sit comfortably against the skin for all-day use. These are combined with a traditional lacing system that locks down the midfoot and reduces in-shoe movement for distraction-free strides. Reflective elements complete the upper, keeping you safe and enhancing your visibility in low-light conditions, allowing you to train in the morning or at night.

CMEVA Midsole

Utilising a compression-moulded EVA foam, the Rincon 5 provides both cushioning and lightweight, making this perfect for everyday use. This durable foam spares joints when striking hard, unforgiving surfaces, as it absorbs shock before returning the energy as a rebound, providing an added spring to your step. Smooth Meta-Rocker Geometry has been added to enhance running efficiency, creating a smoother ride and faster transitions in the forefoot. This enhances stability and a smoother transition from midfoot landing to toe-off. Hoka has also added an extra 3mm of foam compared to the previous Rincon, increasing comfort underfoot.

Durabrasion Outsole

Completing the Rincon 5 is a grippy Durabrasion outsole. Using a podular design, the shoes form a solid bond with the ground, anchoring you in place for a strong, controlled position while reducing the weight to keep you light on your feet. The rubber is strategically placed in high-wear areas to resist heel-strike trauma and bring you a long-lasting running companion. The durable rubber provides plenty of grip to keep you in control across various terrains, while well-placed flex grooves increase natural mobility whilst on the move, helpful for recovery runs and walking.
