The Escalante jacket is designed with comfort and protection from the ever-changing weather in mind. To ensure that you will always be dry, the jacket is constructed using TEXAPORE ECOSPHERE 2L, a material that has been developed by Jack Wolfskin to provide you with complete waterproofing. This will block all water molecules from entering and causing any discomfort to the skin for lasting comfort. The surface of the jacket is also treated to wick moisture away from the surface. This will mean that you will not have any excess weight from standing water beading on your jacket. In addition to this, the material will act as a shield from any wind, keeping you sheltered even in the most exposed spots. By deflecting the wind away, this will keep you feeling warm and in a maintained climate. As you begin to warm up from your activity, the jacket will react to this by being breathable. Air is able to enter and exit the jacket, which will mean that the hot air that has built up within is able to escape out, where it is then replaced by cooler air from outside. Over a period of time, this will make sure that you will always feel ventilated to a comfortable level. The full-zip down the front of the jacket is extremely easy to adjust, giving you the option to allow more air in and out of the jacket. There is also a wind flap on the inside of the zip, ensuring that there are no areas exposed to windchill. Should you feel like you are still too warm, the jacket has zips under the arms which are strategically positioned to allow you to encourage airflow for ventilation.
