La Sportiva TX5 Evo Mid GORE-TEX Women's Walking Boots

Whether you're scrambling over scree slopes, climbing a via ferrata or heading from hut to hut, you'll feel stable, safe and ready to tackle any trail in the TX5 Evo Mid GORE-TEX.

Nubuck Leather Upper

Designed using a nubuck leather upper, the TX5 Evo ensures protection and durability, whether you're out on the trail or venturing through the mountains. Working alongside a GORE-TEX Extended Comfort membrane, the uppers ensure waterproof performance without affecting breathability. GORE-TEX prevents rain and moisture from entering the boots while allowing perspiration to escape. This is thanks to the 9 billion pores per square inch, which are 20,000 times smaller than a water droplet (blocking rain) but 700 times larger than water vapour molecules, making it perfect for those seeking exceptional climate comfort and heat management. Designed for hikers carrying heavy loads, a protective rubber rand and toe cap for enhanced durability and defence against trail hazards, while the 3D Flex System ensures precision and freedom of movement with complete safety. A mid height collar contains your foot for stability and in-shoe security, preventing excessive movement. Completing the upper is a lacing system inspired by the approach world, perfect for technical routes. It makes for a secure fit, locking the midfoot for a secure and stable feel.

CMEVA Midsole

The midsole has been made from a CMEVA foam compound, providing soft landings with every step. Keeping your hike comfortable from start to finish, the midsole offers a bouncy experience thanks to the foam's responsive nature, adding energy to your strides while lowering fatigue. Shock-absorbing properties reduce injury risk and discomfort by absorbing impact when striking tough and changing trail conditions. This compound is teamed with an Ortholite Hybrid Approach 5mm insole for instant step-in comfort and provides an extra layer of shock absorption so you can rely on your footwear.

Vibram Megagrip with IBS Outsole

Allowing you to move with confidence across varied terrain, the TX5 Evo features a Vibram Megagrip outsole with La Sportiva's Impact Brake System for maximum stability and optimum traction. The durable outsole ensures grip on varied terrain and changing trail conditions, allowing confident strides as you take on your next adventure. Adorning the outsole is a strategically placed lug pattern, ensuring the perfect amount of grip on wet or dry ground. Finally, the patented Resole Platform insert means the boots can be resoled without affecting comfort and performance, allowing you to explore the mountains in these reliable walking boots, year after year.
