Terracare Nubuck-Leather Upper
Constructed using eco-friendly Terracare Nubuck leather, the Nova IV Mid is light and stable while giving you the protection you need on your hike. The Terracare leather has been uniquely produced using state-of-the-art methods with minimal water use, the electricity used to construct this boot is from renewable energy sources. Not only is this sustainably made, but, it will ensure you remain comfortable, with long-lasting protection for your feet. This soft Terracare leather has a GORE-TEX membrane, meaning this boot is completely waterproof and super breathable, allowing sweat to escape through the tongue keeping your feet well insulated as well as, cool and dry. The elastic GORE-TEX tongue construction also ensures that water can't get in from the top and keeps all parts of your feet well protected. A 3D Memo Foam has been added through the lining of the boot, providing additional comfort with the boot contouring perfectly to your feet.
EVA Midsole
An EVA midsole is present through the boot's midsole providing excellent cushioning. They have strategically mapped out a variety of dense EVA giving you the correct amount of support throughout key areas. The layer under the toes offers the stability and security to protect the forefoot. A 3D Memo Foam insole is another unique technology specific for Mammut, ensuring you have an individual fit and cushioning for the feet at the instep, shin and ankle giving you a plush feel.
Vibram Outsole
The Nova IV Mid GORE-TEX have a Vibram compound present through the outsole of these boots.
