Merrell Agility Peak 5 BOA GORE-TEX Women's Trail Running Shoes

Building on the success of one of Merrell's most popular trail shoes, the Agility Peak 5 updates this already successful trail runner. In this latest version, the rocker is increased, the weight is reduced, and the heel cup is sculpted for better on-foot comfort and less slip. Allowing you to run without distraction, Merrell has included a BOA Lacing System.

GORE-TEX Upper

Designed to provide comfort and protection, the Merrell Agility Peak 5 BOA have been constructed using an engineered mesh upper. The mesh upper provides lightweight breathability and protection to keep your feet safe on rocky terrains. Acting as a lightweight second skin, the mesh ensures you can go the distance comfortably. The mesh has been reinforced with durable fibres for the BOA system to reduce wear when tightened. Perforations in the fabric encourage cool air to circulate, while uncomfortable heat build-up escapes, creating a healthy environment for your foot to thrive in. A GORE-TEX membrane has been added, providing optimal waterproof protection to keep your feet dry whilst remaining breathable. In addition, the breathable mesh lining sits comfortably against the skin and further enhances breathability. The mesh collar increases next-to-skin comfort whilst the protective, abrasion-resistant toe cap protects the feet from knocks and scrapes. The upper features a D ring, allowing you to attach a gaiter for added protection on muddy trails. A Cleansport NXT treatment added to the upper prevents the build-up of odour-causing bacteria, keeping the Agility Peak fresher for longer. The BOA lacing system uses a dial to provide a better lockdown in the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage, perfect for those technical trails. The lacing system also makes it quicker and easier to adjust the fit while on the go or in colder weather.

FloatPro Foam Midsole

In the midsole, Merrell's signature FloatPro Foam provides a light, durable ride. The midsole provides ample underfoot cushioning to reduce the impact on your feet over tough trails whilst remaining as lightweight as possible, so you'll never feel weighed down. The lightweight midsole offers supreme cushioning and support to key areas like the arch and heel, securing the foot for a smoother transition and wear. By supporting these key areas of the foot, the midsole material prevents discomfort and possible injury. Merrell's signature FlexConnect technology has been used in the midsole to ensure enhanced ground connection. FlexConnect's dual-directional flex grooves ensure a secure fit and a natural and serious grip to deliver agility and stability on any terrain. Improving protection, the shoes also feature a rock plate that helps prevent injury when standing on sharp rocks or debris. Completing the midsole is an EVA insole that offers better cushioning, durability and increased breathability underfoot. The soft insole cushions your feet over long distances and increases ventilation to keep you cool when temperatures rise.

Vibram MegaGrip

Developed using a Vibram MegaGrip outsole, the Agility Peak provides extreme grip and traction on all surfaces. Developed for extremely slippery terrain, the durable rubber can form a solid bond with the ground, anchoring you in place. Despite abuse from rough ground, the rubber stands up, deflecting blows and retaining shape and structure. Ensuring multi-directional grip, the outsole provides traction on varied terrain for confident footing. The durable rubber provides a strong grip on the most challenging terrain; it protects itself from damage and protects users from losing control and slipping. Vibram Traction lugs that dig deep into the ground when braking or changing direction complete the outsole. The deep lugs anchor the foot in the wet, muddy ground, securing you in place, forming a solid base to push off. The lugs shed debris and mud as you run, providing a constant grip on any surface.
