Mizuno Wave Rider 22 Junior Running Shoes

For juniors wanting to achieve their best results yet, the Mizuno Wave Rider 22 Junior Running Shoes is the perfect shoe. With extreme cushioning for a more responsive ride, break personal bests with ease and comfort.

AIRmesh Upper

Covering the top of the shoe, the upper uses Mizuno's AIRmesh. This allows each running shoe to maintain a high standard of breathability and comfort in the upper. This means that air can flow in and out, maintaining foot temperature for a comfortable ride. The mesh also adapts to the foot within it, making it feel personalised and increases comfort. The toe is covered by a thicker stronger material for protection from bumps and knocks. Up the foot laces and a padded tongue mean that finding the perfect fit is comfortable and easily achievable.

Mizuno Wave Midsole

The unique Mizuno Wave midsole is multi-purpose and beneficial. Using technology that provides both cushioning and stability, the midsole protects the feet. The shape of it makes all impacts from below are absorbed instantly, and the shape of it disperses the impact. This results in a smoother, stable and cushioned feel on every step. Placed in the shoe, and in direct contact with the sole of the foot, the insole gives the foot a direct cushion which makes the foot feel comfortable and in position.

X-10 Outsole

Designed for durability and traction, the X-10 outsole is a carbon rubber outsole designed by Mizuno. The construction of it allows for longer wear, with a particular focus on high impact areas like the heel and the forefoot. The durability will extend the shoe life, and will also mean you don't have to shy away from rough and uneven terrain. The strong grip and traction created by the rubber will also ensure that you will stay in full control on wet and dry surfaces. Multi-directional lugs anchor the shoe into place, whilst water and dirt can also escape and run out of the gaps.

About Mizuno

Mizuno was founded in 1906 as Mizuno Brothers Ltd by Rihachi Mizuno and his younger brother Rizo, in Osaka. The shop sold western sundries, including baseballs, and then in 1907 began to sell order-made athletic wear. In 1910 the shop moved to Umeda Shinmichi and its name was changed to Mizuno Shop. In 1913 the firm began to manufacture baseballs and gloves. In 1933 Mizuno presented Star Line, the first Japanese made golf clubs. By 1935 its golf club showroom was the world's largest.

In 1941 the company name was changed to Mizuno Co., Ltd, and has remained the same since. The first American factory was established in Los Angeles, under the denomination American Mizuno in 1961.

Today, Mizuno is a global corporation which makes a wide variety of sports equipment and sportswear, for golf, tennis, baseball, volleyball, football, running, rugby, skiing, cycling, judo, table tennis, badminton, boxing and athletics.
