Jumpstart your volleyball skills with this shoe designed for beginner players, especially junior and high school players. The shoe features several beginner-friendly features, including a lightweight and comfortable feel, a flat sole and excellent flexibility. It is made with a last so it can comfortably fit a wide range of foot shapes. The highly flexible yet stable flat sole design helps players get a feel for the court while bending easily.
Constructed with a mesh upper, the Mizuno Cyclone Speed 5 is a highly breathable indoor court shoe. Perforations within the upper encourage cool air to flow and circulate the shoe, removing built-up heat in the process, creating a healthy, cool and dry environment. Synthetic overlays increase the shoe's durability, protecting it against lateral drags and grazes, while protecting your feet and reducing the risk of injury. Thanks to its soft feel, the upper delivers maximum comfort, reducing the risk of irritation through training or play. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system that locks in the midfoot to reduce in-shoe movement.
The midsole of the Cyclone Speed 5 is made from a full-length compressed EVA foam that provides excellent cushioning and comfort properties. The midsole absorbs shocks and impact forces caused by the heel strike phase of the gait cycle, which helps to reduce the risk of injury and keep feet feeling fresh throughout use. Once absorbed, the midsole harnesses the energy created and transfers this to the forefoot area of the midsole, which is used to push you off onto your next step, enhancing rebound properties. A removable in-sock has been included to increase comfort and enhance the cushioning from the moment you put the shoes on.
These Mizuno indoor court shoes utilise a non-marking XG rubber outsole that provides incredible traction on an indoor court. These shoes provide a base for you to power off onto your next step and allow you to turn and swivel sharply, which is a key part of competitive sports. A flat sole design provides a solid base and increased stability, helping you to keep your balance when needed most. Smooth bending grooves increase flexibility, and as the outsole is rounded, it enables very smooth heel strikes.
