Utilising Pertex Quantum technology, the Apex 900 Down jacket from Montane is highly water-resistant and windproof while being super lightweight and breathable, offering both protection and comfort. The 10D super lightweight recycled nylon nano ripstop features reinforcement yarns to provide durable resistance to tearing, helping the fabric withstand harsh mountain environments. With a tightly woven structure, Pertex Quantum allows down insulation to fully loft and retain warmth. The fabric features a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish on the outer side to provide reliable weather protection. The ExpeDRY goose down contains non-toxic gold particles bonded to it for fast drying performance and industry-leading warmth. These gold particles vibrate any water that seeps in to speed up evaporation, ensuring the down dries quickly and stays dry in high humidity and extreme conditions. A stitch-through baffle construction has been used for a super lightweight and packable build, working in conjunction with REACH+ technology that offers unparalleled arm lift and articulation for complete mobility. A 2-way zip allows for simple access to a harness below and super quick cool-down.

Sporting a Lycra-bound hood with a rear crown adjustment, it is simple to streamline the fit of the hood while also being able to stretch out and fit a helmet within. The hem is adjustable to entrap heat within the jacket, while the self-sealing cuffs prevent chilly air from penetrating the sleeves. Internal stash pockets have been added to quickly stash items while on the move, while two harness- and pack-compatible zipped hand pockets can be found on either side. Finally, a cube stuff sack is included with the jacket, allowing you to pack it away when it is no longer needed; this sack also serves as fabric for garment repair.
