A durable, versatile runner that combines lightweight, breathable mesh and a comfortable Fresh Foam midsole.
Constructed using a mesh upper, the New Balance 520v9 delivers an extremely breathable and lightweight feel. This breathable design ensures that your feet remain cool and comfortable during those longer runs. The mesh allows the build-up of warm air to escape the shoe, while cool air circulates, so you can stay focused on reaching your goals without worrying about discomfort. A soft, padded tongue sits comfortably against the foot to enhance comfort, while the no-sew overlays provide a sleek fit and feel. This design provides a locked-in feel for a reliable fit that remains lightweight. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system that locks the midfoot in place and reduces in-shoe movement.
New Balance's innovative Fresh Foam midsole offers premium cushioning underfoot, giving you a comfortable ride and ensuring you can run better, for longer. Attenuating shock impact, the Fresh Foam protects the joints against stress when striking down on the hard, unforgiving surfaces of the trail without compromising a responsive, natural ride. Delivering plush underfoot cushioning, the Fresh Foam is a fusion of plush foam and advanced design, creating an ultra-cushioned and geometrically sound ride. Fresh Foam encourages a smooth heel-to-toe transition and reduces the use of superfluous muscle power, diminishing fatigue, keeping you motivated for longer.
Designed to provide unrivalled traction and durability, the outsole of the 520v9 has been constructed using a durable rubber outsole. The rubber delivers an abundance of grip and traction to help fill you with confidence, stride after stride. The highly durable outsole can maintain its high level of performance no matter what is put in its path. The rubber provides a perfect balance of exceptional grip and a soft underfoot feel.
