Engineered Mesh Upper

Engineered mesh uppers will encase each foot in breathable comfort. Perforations in the fabric increase airflow to create a better, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. An internal arch strap swathes the foot in lightweight support, helping to anchor you to the midsole and reduce in-shoe slippage so that you can enjoy smooth, distraction-free strides. The thinner tongue reduces bulk, for an aerodynamic fit, and sits softly against the skin to diminish any risk of chafing and skin irritation. Light padding surrounds the ankle for excellent support and comfort, while an anatomical toe design follows the natural contours of the foot to allow for comfortable toe splay and a more efficient push-off.

Zoom Air Midsole

Nike Zoom Air features in the midsole to supply your stride with extra bounce; it combines pressurised air with internal fibres to deliver responsive cushioning that springs back fast, so you can move faster. Zoom Air's advantage is that, as well as providing excellent impact protection, it boasts a super lightweight and low-profile design which lets your feet sit closer to the ground, enhancing proprioception so that you can run more efficiently. Below the midsole, rests a TPU midfoot shank. Implemented to deliver a propulsive sensation and increased torsional rigidity, it extends to the forefoot and helps to minimise energy loss during toe bend without increasing demand on the calf, turning the pressure of each stride into power for the next.

Flexible Outsole

An adaptive rubber outsole completes the Zoom Streak 7. Its traction pattern features hexagon-like configurations of differing sizes, inspired by generative design, that deliver flexible, multi-directional grip. The generative design uses an algorithm to identify lug shapes and sizes that will optimise propulsion and energise your stride. Deep flex grooves between each lug further enhance the bendy, barefoot feel of the shoe, while hard carbon rubber covers the rearfoot to increase its durability, resisting the traumas of heel-strike to prolong the life of your new favourite race buddy. Blown rubber makes up the rest of the underfoot; it uses tiny air pockets to create smooth, pillowy cushion whilst supplying a sticky grip.
