Engineered Mesh Upper

Designed using new yarns and an improved engineered upper structure for optimal comfort and enhanced breathability, the upper of the Dragonfly 2 Elite has been created using an engineered mesh. The upper is highly breathable thanks to perforations within the fabric that allow cool air to flow whilst releasing built-up heat, keeping your feet cool and comfortable even when your race heats up. Its conforming fit gives you a disappearing sensation as you move, increasing comfort and providing a pair of spikes built to go the distance. An anatomical toe design follows the foot's natural contours, enhancing propulsion by increasing space in the forefoot, allowing the toes to splay and push off the ground. The reinforced heel helps to improve overall stability so you can stay focused on the race ahead. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system that locks down the midfoot, reducing in-shoe movement for distraction-free strides.

ZoomX Midsole

Ultra-light and super-responsive, the Dragonfly 2 Elite features a ZoomX foam unit in the midsole offering Nike's greatest energy return yet. When your foot hits the ground, the foam instantly absorbs impact and expels it back out for a bounce-like effect. This reduces the use of superfluous muscle power, diminishes fatigue and enhances performance, keeping you performing better for longer. The revolutionary ZoomX foam is manufactured from Pebax, a product conventionally used in plastic bridges and other moulded parts, and yields cushioning that is not only lightweight but soft and springy. Until now, these three characteristics (collectively) have proven nearly impossible to achieve. Utilising a carbon fibre plate through the midsole, the Dragonfly 2 Elite unlocks a responsive underfoot feel, helping to reduce the weight of the spikes and providing a snappy rebound and comfortable, responsive strides. The spikes also have a slightly wider midfoot and forefoot compared to the previous iteration to help improve stability.

Four Permanent Spike Plate

Featuring a new outsole, the ZoomX Dragonfly 2 Elite utilises four permanent spike pins, made of stainless steel, which help to reduce the weight whilst delivering optimal biting traction to the track. The new full-length plate material is lighter than the previous version while maintaining durability. With a curved design, the spikes give you a propulsive feel, helping to increase your speed as you look to hit that new PB.
