Like a cross between a shell and a technical fleece, the R1 CrossStrata Hooded Jacket is warm, stretchy and breathable with the added benefits of abrasion and weather resistance. This slim-fit, cool-weather crosslayer was designed for extended versatility in shifting mountain conditions.

Designed with double weave fabric, the R1 CrossStrata Hooded Jacket is super soft to the touch while also retaining a good level of warmth yet releasing building heat for regulated temperatures. With a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish added, rain and poor weather are effectively blocked from entering time and time again. Stretch fabric and shoulders enhances better mobility, designed for overhead reach and a wide range of movement. With an under-the-helmet hood, stay covered and shielded from the weather, bound with elastic to ensure your vision is clear at all times, zip up with confidence with a soft zipper garage under the chin. For better coverage and to retain heat, the cuffs and hem are all low-profile with minimal bulk, causing minimal distraction. The hem is also harness compatible, for better comfortability when strapped in and zero bunching. Finally, multiple pockets have been added including a zippered left-chest pocket for small essentials and two heightened hand-warming pockets, with invisible zips to avoid catching on a harness or pack.
