Synthetic Upper
The upper of the evoSPEED Prep Sprint 3.5 has been created with a lightweight, synthetic leather material that hugs and locks down the foot for optimum support and comfort. Its seamless construction minimises irritation and reduces possible friction points within the shoes, allowing for barefoot usage. A flat tongue and microfibre and soft suede lining further reduce chafing for a comfortable next-to-skin feel. The shoe also uses a curved and tapered last that brings you up onto your toes again helping to maximise speed and propulsion. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system that helps to lock the midfoot to prevent excessive movement.
Lightweight Foam Midsole
The midsole of these Puma spikes has been created from a lightweight foam which reacts to each step providing cushioning on landing. This cushioning is important on footstrike as it reduces the amount of shock that is felt resulting in better and longer-lasting performance. The midsole spares your joints as you sprint down onto hard, unforgiving track. The midsole of the spikes has been finished with a die-cut EVA Ortholite sockliner which has been cemented to the strobel board to allow for a cushioned fit with each step.
Full-Length PEBAX Plate Outsole
Completing the spikes is a full-length PEBAX plate. Designed to provide you with ultimate traction and propulsion so that you can hit your top speed. The spikes use eight changeable spike pin receptacles that are strategically placed to provide you with the best possible grip and traction as you sprint toward the finish line.
