Ultraweave upper
The upper of the evoSPEED Long Jump Spikes has been created with a lightweight Ultraweave upper that will encase each foot in streamlined comfort. The lightweight structure allows air to flow through it thanks to perforations in the fabric, these create a better, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. On the instep of the shoes, Puma have added PWRTAPE, which has been designed to provide structure to the shoe as well as support the foot and reduce in-shoe movement. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system with a Velcro strap that helps to lock the midfoot to prevent excessive movement.
Lightweight Foam Midsole
Super responsive and lightweight, the midsole reacts to each step providing cushioning on impact. This cushioning is important on footstrike as it reduces the amount of shock that is felt resulting in better and longer-lasting performance. Resilient and feathery, the midsole spares your joints as you sprint down onto a hard, unforgiving track. Not only this but the spikes also feature a dual-density PEBAX plate. This enforces stiffness and strength along the midfoot of the spikes to allow for a powerful, propulsive takeoff and increased speed.
Seven Spike Outsole
Completing the spikes is a forefoot plate that includes ridges to increase grip when on the track. The plate's design uses seven changeable spike pin receptacles strategically placed for all distance events. The spikes also include a 360-degree, wrapped-up Sharkskin outsole material that provides durability and traction, so you can be sure you have a strong footing when on the track.
