Premium Engineered Mesh Upper
Providing enhanced breathability and comfort, the upper of the Electrify Nitro 5 promotes in-shoe freshness for the entirety of your run. Perforations within the upper allow for air to circulate effectively around the foot, allowing for heat to escape out and make room for cooling freshness. The material also protects the foot from possible snags and reduces the possibility of distractions when racking up the miles. A traditional lacing system has been added to secure the midfoot and lock it into place for an immovable fit.
NITROFOAM and PROFOAM Midsole
The Electrify Nitro 5 has a two-part midsole which holds more NITROFOAM in the heel and uses lightweight PROFOAM through the midsole. NITROFOAM is Puma's innovative, lightweight nitrogen-infused foam technology which provides explosive energy and enhances underfoot cushioning. Alongside this, PROFOAM is a light and flexible EVA foam, which provides high-impact resistance and improves the flexibility of the sole, for comfortable, flexible strides. PROFOAM also features for stability and durability. The combined midsole provides you with reinforced cushioning whilst helping to enhance propulsion for fast, confident running, as well as absorbing shocks and impact to reduce the risk of injuries or discomfort.
PUMAGRIP Outsole
Finishing the shoes, Puma have used their PUMAGRIP rubber compound in the outsole construction, which combines superior traction with durability. Strategically placed, the rubber forms a solid connection with a wide range of surfaces, even when wet or dry, giving you the confidence to run whatever the weather. The strong connection with the ground will also provide a firm base to push off from, allowing for a more efficient gait cycle.
