Textile/Synthetic Upper

The highly durable, waterproof material remains unaffected by water even when under pressure. Using ClimaSalomon Waterproof Technology, the fully waterproof bootie ensures complete weather protection. The Snowspike CSWP features Sensifit technology - a system that wraps the foot with a precise and secure fit, Sensifit cradles the foot from the midsole to the lacing system, providing a stable, precise, snug fit all around the system. Keeping the overall framework intact, a key placed protective piece of rubber covers the toe area and acts upon torsion, reducing wear and tear to the boots from oncoming rocks and roots. Another component to the upper is the simple and user-friendly minimalistic and strong lace, for one-pull tightening. This allows for easy on and off, whilst holding the foot comfortably and precisely. The stitch-free upper construction provides a smooth, glove-like, fit and feel, and a zipped, protective cuff, as well as an integrated, high-top gaiter, wraps the top of the shoe around the ankle, preventing water, snow, rocks and sand from entering the shoe.

The Salomon Snowspike CSWP Walking Boot features a Contagrip TA outsole, providing unique traction technology. Built for maximum grip on loose, soft, or rugged uneven surfaces, Contagrip TA uses deep, sharp lugs made from a compound that balances durability and adhesion. The aggressive tread offers superior traction in soft snow, while 12 tungsten spikes bite into compact snow and ice. Designed with specifically positioned carbide tipped spikes inserted into the sole lugs, aggressive grip is assured even on ice, whilst the lug design with deep penetration and multi-directional grip improves traction on softer surfaces like mud, snow or loose dirt.
