To make the Haloes Hooded Down Jacket suitable for high activity in the mountains, Salomon used a down-proof fabric to eliminate migration and loss of down, and also a Smart Skin construction, substituting synthetic insulation under the arms and over the shoulders. Haloes has down's loft and packability, with the confidence of synthetic when you sweat.
The Haloes Down Jacket uses down insulation for maximum warmth to weight ratio and synthetic insulation in the high-wear, high sweat areas. Down provides more insulation per ounce than any other material, making it the optimal insulator. The premium 90/10 ratio in this jacket contains 90% Down and 10% feathers, whilst the synthetic insulation regulates your body climate to keep you comfortable and warm. Fiberfill fibres reflect the warmth of your body and help it retain heat so you feel comfortable and warm, even when the garment is wet. With a fill power value of 700, this jacket insulates at premium standards, so you can be assured that you will be kept exceptionally warm. This is also combined with AdvancedSkin Warm Technology, which uses technical fabrics to improve body comfort by keeping you dry, warm and protected when you need it and where you need it. A more durable fabric face means this jacket won't lose feathers, and the synthetic insulation is impervious to the impact of repeated moisture permeation, making this jacket extremely durable.
In an active fit, the Haloes Down Jacket is close-fitting yet still lets you move, ideal for fast-paced activities. The jacket conveniently stuffs down into its own hand pocket, so will take up minimal space in your pack. An integrated drawcord adjustment at the hem tightens for better protection against the elements and an even closer fit, whilst stretch cuffs at the wrists keep the elements out and help to prevent the sleeves from riding up. The smart adjustment hood provides extra coverage and warmth, and can easily be adjusted to create the perfect fit. A full zip opening exists for convenient on and off and also allows maximum temperature control, simply zip up to retain all-important body heat or zip down for extra ventilation when things start to heat up. The jacket provides a range of pockets; a stash pocket to stow small items, a zipped chest pocket to secure small belongings in an accessible place, and two zipped hand pockets, which make an ideal refuge for chilly hands in cold conditions.
